What Ownership Is Really Like
An all-in-one station is still hands-on
Beans move from the hopper through the built-in grinder into a portafilter, but the owner still selects grind size, establishes the right dose, distributes and tamps. A shot that gushes or stalls remains a coffee-preparation problem. Changing roast or bean age can require a new setting, so the grinder is not a one-time setup.
The grinder adds convenience and another maintenance zone
Integrated grinding saves counter width and coordinates the workflow. It also retains small amounts of coffee in the burrs and chute. Owners who change beans should expect some carryover, and oily residue or compacted grounds must be brushed from the dry grinder path periodically. Water should never be used inside the burr chamber.
Milk drinks remain manual
The steam wand requires purging, pitcher placement, surface aeration and temperature judgment. Milk alternatives behave differently from dairy. After every pitcher, wipe the wand and purge again before residue dries. This is a learned step, not an automatic cappuccino system.
Daily care and water access
After brewing, discard the puck, rinse basket and portafilter, flush the group area and empty the drip tray as needed. The removable tank and top hopper require clearance; under cabinets the machine may need to slide forward. Scale eventually affects both brew and steam performance, so filtered water and periodic descaling matter.
Who will enjoy it
The CM002 fits a buyer who wants beans-to-portafilter convenience in one chassis and is interested in learning. It does not fit someone who interprets an integrated grinder as bean-to-cup automation.
Our Editorial Take
EUHOMY reduces equipment fragmentation, not owner involvement. Its strongest buyer wants a compact fresh-bean workstation and is willing to maintain two mechanical systems and practice both puck preparation and steaming.
